    Ryan Smith MS, L.A.c, is the founder and director of 5 Point Acupuncture. He earned a Clinical Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture and a certificate in Advanced Oncology Acupuncture from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He was a lead acupuncturist at NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center and a lead supervisor and instructor of advanced programs at TSCA.

  • Lauren Glauberg, M.S., L.Ac.

    Lauren Glauberg, M.S., L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist in NYC , received a Master’s of Science Acupuncture degree from Tri-State College of Acupuncture where she currently serves on the clinical faculty.  Lauren continually seeks to expand her knowledge of essential oils and understand the impact they have on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS), a disease shrouded in mystery.  Through personal experience, she knows this invisible illness is more than just feeling tired.

    Megan Richardson MS, Dipl Ac, LAc, ATC, is a licensed acupuncturist and certified athletic trainer specializing in dance and sports medicine. Megan’s approach to care utilizes functional screening, manual therapy, essential oils, acupuncture and sport/dance specific therapeutic exercise to address acute and chronic injuries.

Dr. Gahles is author of several books, a TEDTalk presenter, healthcare journalist.

Self-Acupressure and essential oils for cancer journey related health concerns. When combined acupressure and essential oils can powerfully maintain or improve physical, emotional and mental health of cancer patients and caretakers. Participants will learn protocols targeting health concerns faced by cancer patients and caretakers through hands on demonstration.

Practicing your pitch: Strategic steps for starting an aromatherapy program. A review of the beginning steps to setting up a health care based program with essential oils. Examples how essential oils are being utilized in the healthcare setting.

Utilizing essential oils within the biopsychosocial model to address orthopedic injuries. Essential oils are an effective modality used by the athletic population for emotional, physical self-care practices , optimize injury recovery as it influences the inflammatory response, promotes tissue healing, & supports the athlete with performance anxiety, concentration, & focus.

Psychoaromacology: Essential Oils and the Brain Aromatically, essential oils pass through the olfactory neural pathway which allows both intraneuronal and extraneuronal access to the brain. The benefits can influence mood, thoughts, emotions and the ability to cope.

Psychoaromacology: Essential Oils and the Brain (cont’d) Learn from an expert in the field of Psychoaromacology, how essential oils interact with the brain. Ms. Daniel has published research materials and trainings on how to use essential oils in the mental health field either as a professional or in your own home.

The Pharmacological Interactions of Essential Oils. As the use of essential oils is increasing, the likelihood of concomitant use with conventional therapies is high. Possible interactions between essential oils & pharmacological drug products has the potential to be harmful, but also very beneficial at times.
